About Threptin

Threptin, a brand by Raptakos, Brett & Co. Ltd, came into inception in the year 1953 with the aim of fulfilling the protein gap in people. 9 out of 10 Indians have insufficient protein in their diet.

Today, protein deficiency has taken an almost epidemic proportion in the country. Many Indians don’t have adequate protein intake & are unaware about the right amounts of protein required in their body. With the Indian diet being primarily vegetarian and cereal based it is heavier on carbohydrates and fats rather than proteins. With more than a 10 crore diabetic population, increasing obesity among Indians coupled with burgeoning chronic ailments and lifestyle disorders; the right protein intake becomes mandatory.

Threptin Diskettes launched in the market in the year 1953 with two flavours – Vanilla & Butterscotch. This was followed by the launch of Pineapple & Mango flavours in 1989 and the launch of the ever loved Chocolate flavor in 1990. After the diskettes were well received, the brand launched Threptin Micromix in 1997 with Chocolate & Vanilla flavours. The recently launched Threptin Lite Diskettes in 2016, are one of the most sought after protein diskettes in the market because the product is free of sugar and is best suited for people of different age groups.
